President and Trustee – Mariano Longo

Mariano has over 50 years of experience in music performance, production, recording, arranging, conducting, concert promotion, logistics, touring, artist promotion and management. He has a thorough understanding of many facets of the music industry and has worked with artists and industry people of all ages and backgrounds throughout his career.

“As a music producer and conductor, I routinely communicate across ethnic, racial and cultural barriers. I have managed to travel the world working with national level recording artists and arrange and conduct for symphony orchestras.” “I understand the “Life Cycle” of musical artists – from entry level through retirement. DBMAC is designed to service musicians at all points along their journey. “I am a member in good standing of the A.F.M. – American Federation of Musicians Local 369 in Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as a member in good standing of ASMAC – The American Society of Musical Arrangers and Composers.” Mariano is also the owner of “Orchestral Events, LLC” www.orchestralevents.com – a company that provides orchestral pops programming to symphony orchestras across North America.

Mariano will oversee all operations and long-range development at DBMAC. His main focus will be on overall musical direction and community outreach; to organize and promote all charitable functions and events. He will promote and integrate the musical arts into all areas of the Mahoning Valley and surrounding markets. Mariano is a career professional musician, arranger, and producer who remains enthusiastic about all facets of the music industry. He has extensive experience in specialized musical applications.

Mr. Longo is currently the pianist for international recording and media star, Wayne Newton for all touring dates. He has played piano and/or conducted for touring artist such as: Gary Puckett, Lesley Gore, The Letterman, The Buckinghams, Jay & The Americans, Richard Street’s Tempations, Sonny Turner’s Platters, The Miracles, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Shirley Allston Reeves, The Shirelles, and Little Peggy March.

Vice-President and Trustee – Martin Cohen

Mr. Cohen is a 35-year music industry veteran. He is a professional musician, promoter, production manager, stage manager and booking agent since 1985. His involvement with the music community and business leaders in the Mahoning Valley community will help ensure success for DBMAC. Martin (Marty) owned and operated Mickey’s Army Navy Store, a flagship retail store in Warren, Ohio for 40 years. He is also the Co-Founder of Sunrise Entertainment in Warren and has over ten years of experience in the regional entertainment industry, promoting “River Rock at the Amp” at Warren’s Community Amphitheater and “Back At the Pack” events at Packard Music Hall.

Mr. Cohen is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Education. Marty is a past president of the Warren Chamber of Commerce, and a current member of the following community organizations: The Boy Scouts of the Western Reserve Council, American Red Cross Board of Directors, Trumbull County Board of Mental Health, Warren Lions Club, Melvin E. Jones Fellowship, Trumbull 100, The Buckeye Club, HMHP Finance Committee, and the Kent State Advisory Board.

Director of Operations - Gary Del Vecchio

Gary brings extensive experience in both music and business to the DBMAC team. Originally from NE Ohio, Gary spent his early music career as a guitarist in Northern California opening for such artists as - Jefferson Starship, Tower of Power, Mike Bloomfield, Ted Nugent, and The Tubes. He returned to our area in the mid 80’s and opened “Inner Chamber Sound Labs” in Girard OH.

Gary also owned and operated “Video Game Replay” and “Del Vecchio Distributing”. These business ventures developed the excellent customer relations skills that he brings to daily operations at DBMAC. Gary currently resides in Warren Ohio with his wife Linda and his effervescent French Bulldog “Stella”.

C.F.O./Accounting, Office Manager and Trustee – Christine “Tina” Cella-Longo

Christine handles the day-to-day finances and accounting responsibilities for DBMAC. Those duties include billing for music sessions and rehearsal hall rentals. She also handles payroll for large scale orchestral concerts with sub-contracted production, back-line and labor. Christine’s attention to detail is critical to DBMAC in qualifying for and maintaining 501c(3) Federal Tax Exempt status. Her mission of fiscal integrity will help DBMAC obtain available state and federal grants to enrich the musical arts in the Mahoning Valley.

For the past 10 years, she has been the Event Coordinator for Orchestral Events LLC – a music production company. Her duties there include scheduling the logistics and transportation for national music artists at upcoming concert events. Christine also handles the payroll and accounting for large scale Orchestral concerts sometimes involving 40-50 independent contractors.

Secretary and Trustee – Christine Glenn

Christine handles all the duties of the Secretary for DBMAC. She is responsible for recording and transcribing meeting minutes and presenting them for approval as part of the meetings’ agenda. With a keen sense for details and ardent organizational skills, she keeps DBMAC in tune and current on issues facing the board. As the custodian (keeper) of the records, she handles correspondence, both incoming and outgoing and any other duties of the position as they arise.

Before seeking a degree in education, Christine worked in the medical field for over 28 years as a Physician’s Assistant, Medical Transcriptionist, Office Manager, as well as a Billing/Payroll clerk. As a non-traditional student, she attended Kent State University and at the age of 51, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with concentration areas in Language Arts and Social Studies. When a full-time teaching position wasn’t within reach, she took a position with Trumbull County as the Administrative Secretary to the Trumbull County Commissioners. She began that position in January 2012, and on February 1, 2023, she retired from Trumbull County. She is married to her husband Kelley, and they have one daughter, Kaitlin.

Marketing Director & Community Outreach – Caleb Shaw

Born and raised in Warren, Ohio, Caleb Shaw has a passion for music and a strong sense of community. He remains actively involved in local music; first singing in his high school choir, and then on the music team at his home church – “Believer’s.” This passion for music never faded and has only grown stronger over the years. As the newest board member, Caleb is thrilled to be involved with Down Beat Musical Arts Centre. He is responsible for all media, PSA’s and community outreach. “We need to make this facility available to all NE Ohio musicians and artists – regardless of age, ethnicity, or musical genre. We hope to enable and inspire a new generation of musicians.

DBMAC will also preserve the legacy of artists who have emerged from our area and gone on to national recognition.” It is Caleb’s goal to make a positive impact on the local music community. In addition to his involvement with DBMAC, Caleb also runs an insurance brokerage and is a licensed realtor. With a deep understanding of both industries, Caleb assists individuals and businesses in realizing their insurance and real estate goals.
